The New Year is about come. It is the time of auspices. How is our globe going to develop, the future, how will it look like? It is the time for the ponderous questions without any clear-cut answers, but endless speculations and gossip.
Growth is slowing, fuel prices are high and credit is tight, only to name the most conspicuous issues of 2008. Or is it detrimental for our destiny that Benazir Boutu was murdered today… let’s wait and see!
What does it all mean to us? We don’t know.

We -the small ones – continue to do our jobs. Unpredictable is the outcome, and we – the ones without influence, without alliances – we cannot care about auspices – we have enforcedly stick to  out-of-the-box-pathways…

Auspizien (lateinisch auspicia, Singular auspicium „Vogelschau“) bezeichnet den Brauch römischer Kultbeamter, der Auguren, Vögel zu beobachten, um daraus den göttlichen Willen zu erkennen. Dies versuchten sie, indem sie den Flug oder das Geschrei von Vögeln untersuchten. Danach schätzten die Auguren ein, ob die Götter eher günstig oder ungünstig gestimmt waren.
