Or about the art of finding out what it means to really feel good
Just recently I spoke to Chris McCormack about this topic. He puts it like this:” My body is my work place. To release a really great performance, I have to feel really good.”
It sounds simple, but is not. All of you who train regularly I am sure, can confirm this statement. It is not easy to find out what it means to feel great. Most of the time you don’t know until afterwards when you can put the delivered performance into relation with the perceived condition you were in.
The survey is now closed, thank you for participating. The winners are going to hear from us by next week.
Lactose intolerance is an illness many people are complaining about. A few weeks ago I wrote the article "lactose an overrated disease concept?" on this blog I would like to refer to in this place. With this survey we would like to encourage you to test Biestmilch*, which is known for its gut protecting effects. If your lactose intolerance is caused by inflammatory processes within the mucosal lining, Biestmilch may help to improve your intolerance symptoms.
My blog post below is dealing with the subject of chronobiology and biorhythm. Usually, people differ in the times when they perform best during a daytime. While science has big difficulties to collect the data and prove this, experience indicates clearly that the human mind and body follow a circadian rhythm with ups and downs.
What is your experience like?
There has been a long break on my blog here, sorry for that. Some of you may know the reason for my silence. I am in Kona on the Big Island since 10 days, days that have been extremely busy and stressful. My brain is like blown empty due to all the different features that it has to digest. Writing becomes a demanding task in situation like this. But I'll try now.
There are only 2 and half days left until race day night, for many a sleepless night. Moving through Kona makes you feel the tension building up more and more. This can bring about more problems for your immune system, and hamper your capabilities to cope with stress.
While on the other side of our small office world Chris gives us a big deal of excitement since it is iron fact that he is racing in Frankfurt, we continue with our preps for all the events that are close about to come.
For all of those who are not familiar with triathlon. Chri sMcCormack is one of the best triathletes worldwide. He won the IRONMAN worldchampionship in 2007, and had to quit the race in 2008 because of a technical defect. Chris is a very close friend of mine.
Before Chris and I start our journey around the world "Macca09" next Wednesday (March 18) I made some sound recording with him. We talk to each other twice a week. Here you can listen to a short sound clip. He talks about his competitors, about his competitive nature and about the fact that he favors unpredictability to boredom.
