Since we have started our biestmilch business in 2000 we observed many a company falling off the bandwagon. Biestmilch which is called colostrum by the mainstream attracted many venturers who where dreaming of making quick money with little investment. Till today we face quite some competitors who try to sell biestmilch by dumping prices putting no efforts into customer services, competitors who don't have a clue about the value of this substance and lack the experience with it. In the beginning, we ourselves carried along a bunch of illusions about how long it takes to create a market for biestmilch. So to speak, we had dreams but reality beat them very very fast. Hard work of grassroots work lies behind and ahead of us. We are still little rebels in a niche of the health market. Biestmilch's quality is often spoiled by diluting it with whey or lactose. Like this bioactivity is decreased and the price is lessened, and, the conclusion is that biestmilch is blamed by all of you who don't know biestmilch and its quality criteria. Biestmilch is a tricky substance, it is versatile and volatile. Biestmilch needs attention, needs care, yours and ours. This is what we did and are still doing, caring for a substance with an incredible potential. Wir haben darüber nachgedacht und viel diskutiert und sind zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass ein gemischter Blog wie unserer sehr zeitgemäß ist. Wir möchten uns nicht in Anglizismen ergehen. In the beginning, we were very naive, we thought that starting with an ad saying biestmilch = colostrum, white on orange ground, could initiate some sales. We were completely wrong. Almost nobody knew colostrum in those days and nobody knew biestmilch. Nothing happened. Our enthusiatstic team set in the office waiting for a phone call, an order by fax, on email. Nothing, it was so quiet that we got scared, bored, a mixture of both. Then we decided to publicize a report in one of the most read journals in medicine called Medical Tribune. It cost quite some money, and, it brought us a hype in sales which was a fake for six weeks then our illusions where brought back to th baseline ZERO. We realized that we had dreams which are beaten by reality. We became aware of the fact that grassroots work awaited us for several years. If you are interested in our story join in once in a while. It is very rare nowadays that you can experience what it means to enter an empty market with an unknown product to yourself without having any experiences experiences. Everybody calls it colostrum, we call it biestmilch. Because we are special and so is biestmilch. It is the old German expression for an enigmatic wonderful substance. I need to tell you that biestmilch is the most awesome "creature" I met during my whole life of medical socialisation. As far as I know there is not a biological designer drug, e. g. monoclonal antibodies, cytokines, that can beat biestmilch.

Ich nehme an, dass Ihr Euch schon gewundert habt, dass keine Ankündigungen veröffentlicht oder Einladungen zum Biestfest 2006 versendet wurden. In diesem Jahr haben wir beschlossen, kein Sommerfest zu veranstalten. Das hat natürlich einen Grund. Wir sind derzeit gerade dabei das gesamte Biestmilch-Marketing-Konzept umzubauen. Leider werden wir bis zum geplanten Zeitpunkt des Festes nicht fertig sein. Irgendwie haben meine radikalen umstürzlerischen Gedanken zu spät eingesetzt, um das neue Konzept bis zum 29. Juli abgeschlossen zu haben. Ich habe am Anfang des Jahres begonnen alles, was wir bisher gemacht haben, erst einmal gedanklich gegen den Strich zu bürsten. Jetzt sind wir dabei, die den Umsturz zu realisieren. Das braucht Zeit. Bis zum Frankfurt IRONMAN werden wir - so hoffe ich - mit einer Biestmilch in neuem Gewand auftauchen. Wir sind schon sehr gespannt und aufgeregt, wie Ihr uns aufnehmen werdet.

Biestmilch is first milk, also called Colostrum. All mammals produce it for their offsprings during the first 3 days after they gave birth. Biestmilch is absolutely essential for babies regardless the species, be it human or mouse! It is a powerful substance containing many surprises for healthy and sick people. Without going into details one can say that Biestmilch enhances stress resistance for the young, the old the healthy and the sick!

Last week I gave a lecture on chronic inflammation and the therapeutic approach of immunomodulation in Eckernförde, Northern Germany. I flew from Vienna to Hamburg, took the bus to Kiel, and, was picked up by Arne, one of the supporting pillars of the tiny biestmilch team. I love this place for its special shrimps. But this is how I am currently feeling, confused and trying to handle to many threads, leads? Okay, then, I jumped on stage in Eckernförde, felt like an alien, and talked to a lot of people. I lost control of my words. When I left the stage exactly on time, I felt miserable. I thought I gave a very bad lecture. But you know what, people where thrilled, impressed, gave me a fantastic feedback, thanks to all of you. The difference between self-assessment and extrenal apperception is tremendous.
